Lead with Compassion.
At Safe Families for Children, we seek to unleash compassionate people to practice radical hospitality, generosity and compassion. For centuries the church was known for its care for the vulnerable and marginalized, the sick and forgotten, the orphan and widow. The church responded to real needs out of their own resources and brought the light and hope of Christ to those who were hurting.
It takes a special, deeply rooted love to serve those in need out of the compassion in our own hearts. We understand that we are commanded to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39). But we don’t want it to be “one more thing to do.” It is part of our discipleship and formation that we sacrifice to benefit “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40).

That’s why we are asking you to consider partnering with Safe Families. It is a practice of Biblical hospitality- welcoming the stranger into your midst and extending grace and compassion when it might be easier to judge or abandon. We know that all people are important to God, and we are all created in his image. We all have something to learn from each other.
God gave us the model of community, through the church, so we could share in each other’s joys and sorrows, spur one another on to good works, and celebrate God’s faithfulness. Safe Families' desire is to grow the involvement of the local church so that more and more people come together to create circles of support for families facing crisis.

Local Church
We invite the local church to join the Safe Families Movement to help protect children and preserve families. We come alongside the church as a supporter of YOUR mission- to make disciples- by equipping and involving members through acts of service.
